Colby Vokey – NALC Lead Counsel – Military Law
Colby C. Vokey is one of the most well-known and prominent military lawyers in the world. He has a well-earned reputation for being a hard-nosed, zealous criminal defense lawyer who is passionate about the people he serves. He has represented military service members charged with high level war crimes including mass-murder, sex crimes and national security crimes.
Mr. Vokey received his J.D. with distinction from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1998. In 2003, he received a Masters of Law (Criminal Law Specialty) from the Judge Advocate General’s School U.S. Army, Charlottesville, Virginia. In 2007, Mr. Vokey received the American Bar Association’s Charles R. English Criminal Defense Lawyer of the Year award.

Mr. Vokey is an aggressive and dedicated advocate for his clients. He represents current and former members of the military. He handles all state and federal criminal charges as well as Courts-Martial proceedings. He represents clients charged with war crimes, murder, drug crimes, rape, sexual assault, orders violations, white collar crimes, Article 32 investigations, any case involving the rules of engagement, national security offenses (he has a top secret clearance), AWOL and unauthorized absence (UA).
